Bert Oja has a diverse work experience that spans multiple companies. Bert started their career in 2010 as a Data Engineer at Bisnode Nederland, where they worked until 2011. In 2011, they joined Klarna as a Customer Service Agent and later transitioned to the role of Traffic Monitoring. In 2016, they became a Software Engineer and then progressed to the position of Engineering Manager in 2018. In 2020, Bert moved to Spotify as an Engineering Manager, where they worked until 2023. Currently, Bert Oja is working as an Engineering Manager at Klarna.

Bert Oja's education history begins in 2000 when they attended Deltion College in Zwolle. Bert completed their MBO in Computer Science in 2004. Following this, from 2004 to 2007, Bert studied at Hogeschool van Amsterdam and pursued a HBO in Computer Science. In 2006, they also took a minor in Labor Law at the same institution.

In addition to their formal education, Bert Oja obtained the certification for "Managing a Diverse Team" from LinkedIn in March 2020.
