Aleksei Verkeienko has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies.
At Klarna, they currently hold the position of an Engineering Manager, starting in 2021.
Prior to that, they worked at SCI Solutions from 2020 to 2021, where they held the roles of Solutions Architect and Software Development Manager. In this role, they designed integrations with leading EMR/EHR systems, led the split of a monolith application to a multi-tenant system, and implemented JWT-based OAuth solutions.
Before SCI Solutions, Verkeienko worked at Tonic Health, part of R1 RCM, from 2016 to 2020. Aleksei served as a Technical Lead, leading the migration of data storage systems and improving the delivery pipeline. Aleksei also held the role of Senior Software Engineer, where they successfully launched projects and prototypes.
Earlier in their career, Verkeienko worked at Grossum as a Team Lead from 2015 to 2016, where they focused on projects in the shared economy domain and supported the pre-sales process. Aleksei also worked at Wolters Kluwer as a Software Engineer from 2011 to 2015, where they developed automation tools and a centralized authentication system.
Verkeienko's career began at the National Depository of Ukraine in 2010, where they worked as an Information Security Engineer, developing cryptographic utils and implementing data protection policies.
Aleksei Verkeienko completed a Master's degree in Systems of Protection against Unauthorized Access from the State University of Information and Communication Technologies from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from the same university from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications. In 2019, they became a Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) through Scrum.org and received the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA-C01) certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). In 2020, they completed various online courses on Coursera, including "Divide and Conquer, Sorting and Searching, and Randomized Algorithms," "Graph Search, Shortest Paths, and Data Structures," "Greedy Algorithms, Minimum Spanning Trees, and Dynamic Programming," and "Shortest Paths Revisited, NP-Complete Problems and What To Do About Them." Aleksei also obtained the Verified International Academic Qualifications certificate from the World Education Services in the same year.
