Darin Birtwhistle is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in hardware and engineering management. Currently serving as the Director of Hardware Engineering at KLA since July 2021, Birtwhistle previously held the position of Vice President of Hardware Engineering at Holo, Inc. and Sr. Director of Engineering at Velo3D. Notably, Birtwhistle contributed significantly to MiaSolé as Vice President and Sr. Director of Engineering, where a complete Turnkey Back End of Line for a 100MW/yr solar panel factory was delivered to China. Additional roles include Senior Manager of Engineering at KLA-Tencor and Engineering Manager at Blue29 and Novellus Systems, demonstrating a strong background in new product introduction, process improvement, and team leadership. Birtwhistle holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Chico.
