Oscar O'Brien worked as a Software Engineer at Telstra from January 2020 to April 2022. In this role, they were responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying microservice applications to enable real-time monitoring of critical networks. Oscar created standardized CICD pipelines, set up a Maven repository for shared data structures and functionality, optimized monitoring software to reduce network load, and implemented health checks for OpenShift Kubernetes. Oscar also onboarded new developers to the technology stack and applications. Oscar currently works as a Software Engineer at Kiwigrid starting in December 2022.

Oscar O'Brien completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Melbourne between 2016 and 2019. Additionally, they obtained two certifications from Coursera: "Advanced Learning Algorithms" in March 2023 and "Supervised Machine Learning: Regression and Classification" in March 2023.
