Santiago Alvarez Alvarez has a diverse range of work experience. Santiago is currently working as the COO at Kiwanda Labs since March 2020. Prior to this, from 2017 to 2020, they worked at Grupo Uniter as the Manager RFID, where they were responsible for developing and implementing RFID solutions, finding clients, and gathering requirements. From 2014 to 2019, Santiago was the Founder of Wimbag, a smart tracking device for luggage and high-value assets. Santiago also worked at Itelsis from 2014 to 2017 as an Ingeniero Comercial, promoting the Wimbag product and opening new international clients, as well as an R&D Engineer, where they developed sensorization and communication platforms for Smart Cities and IoT projects. Additionally, they have experience as the Organizer of Iniciador Santiago de Compostela, Embedded Systems Engineer at Wizzilab, Founder of Yotelobusco, Research and Development Engineer at Locatel Flotas, and Researcher at the Technical University of Delft. Santiago also worked as an Analyst-Programmer Intern at Optare Solutions.
Santiago Alvarez Alvarez pursued a Master's in Electrical Engineering at Delft University of Technology from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Telecomunicaciones as an Ingeniero from Universidade de Vigo, which they completed from 2003 to 2010.
