Andreas Okholm has a diverse work experience history. In 2009, they co-founded Pumacode, a web agency where they were responsible for sales, frontend and backend development, design, and more. Andreas ran this business while studying and stayed with the company until 2012.
In 2013, Okholm co-founded Vaavud ApS, a company centered around their invention of a wind meter for smartphones. Under their role as CTO, Vaavud ApS successfully developed and sold over 50,000 units of the wind meter, making it the most sold smartphone wind meter in the world. Andreas remained with Vaavud ApS until 2016.
Also in 2016, Okholm founded KiteX, a wind energy company that focuses on optimizing wind turbines using high strength lines. As the CEO, they led the project in building an autonomous flying soft kite within two months.
Throughout their career, Okholm has also served as an advisory board member for FORCE Technology from 2016 to 2018.
Andreas Okholm's education history begins in 2008 when they enrolled at DTU - Technical University of Denmark. Andreas pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Design and Innovation, which they successfully completed in 2011.
Following their undergraduate studies, in 2011, Andreas advanced their education by attending DTU once again, this time to pursue a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Engineering Design and Applied Mechanics, which they completed in 2013.
During their Masters, in 2012, Andreas participated in an international exchange program and attended the University of Adelaide, where they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree with a focus on Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering for a brief period.
Fast forward to 2019, Andreas attended INSEAD for a specialized program, the Danish Innovation fund: Making Innovation Happen Programme, which delved into the field of Business Administration and Management. Their enrollment at INSEAD occurred for a single year.
