Melodi Simpson has worked in the software industry since 2004. Melodi began their career at Northrop Grumman as an Implementation Specialist before moving to CGI Federal as a Consultant in 2006. In 2008, they joined Delta Solutions and Technologies, Inc. in the same role. In 2011, they became a Business Systems Analyst Lead at CACI International Inc. and, in 2016, was promoted to Senior Software Manager at KITEWIRE Inc.

Melodi Simpson attended George Mason University from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a minor in Information Technology.
