Kevika Amar has extensive work experience in the education sector. Kevika started their career in 2002 as a Teacher at Teach for America and worked there until 2004. In 2004, they joined the KIPP Foundation as a Manager of High School Design. Kevika then moved to the U.S. Department of Education in 2016, where they held the position of Senior Principal Advisor in the Office of Communications and Outreach for a year. In 2019, Kevika joined KIPP SoCal Public Schools as the Director of Schools, and later became the Chief of Academics in March 2021.
