April Hunter, Ed. D., is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in elementary education. Currently serving as an Elementary School Teacher at KIPP Columbus since July 2018, April has previously held positions as Lead Teacher and Elementary Inclusion Educator at Peoria Public Schools from August 2012 to July 2018, and as an Elementary Educator at Escambia County Schools from January 2007 to July 2012. April holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Dayton, obtained between 2019 and 2022, a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Illinois University, earned from 2016 to 2018, and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Florida, completed in 2006.
