Jarell Lee

Founding Principal at KIPP Chicago

Jarell L. is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Founding School Leader at KIPP Academy Chicago Primary since June 2018, as well as being a Fisher Fellow. Previously, Jarell held various leadership roles at KIPP New Jersey, including School Leader Fellow and School Leader at Life Academy, where Jarell also served as an Assistant Principal and Miles Family Fellow. Jarell's experience includes being the Grade Level Dean and Founding Dean of School Culture at Achievement First, where responsibilities encompassed leading academic teams and managing school culture systems. Additionally, Jarell has worked as a Saturday Adjunct Instructor at Relay Graduate School of Education and as a Third Grade Lead Teacher at Excellence Boys Charter School. Jarell's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and African-American Studies from Harvard University, a Master's degree in K-6 Childhood Education from Hunter College, and a Master's degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston.
