Nick Slanec began their work experience as an Intern at SAN RAFAEL AIRPORT, LLC in August 2016. Nick then worked as an Instructional Video Producer: IT at Gensler from July 2017 to January 2020. From June 2019 to December 2020, Nick served as the President of LMU AIMS Society, where they led a team to expand the society's presence and community through various initiatives. Starting in June 2020, Nick joined Kiosk (advertising agency) and held several roles, including Data Analyst, Junior Data Engineer, and currently Data Engineer. In these roles, they utilized Python for data collection, developed web apps using Flask, Vue.js, and Bootstrap, designed and built analytical dashboards using Google Data Studio, and created and modified SQL scripts for dashboard support.

Nick Slanec attended Loyola Marymount University from 2017 to 2021, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Information Management Systems. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Terra Linda High School from 2013 to 2017, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. In addition to their formal education, Nick also obtained several certifications. Nick became an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) from Santa Rosa Junior College in December 2020, achieved the Tableau Desktop Specialist certification from Tableau Software in October 2019, and obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February 2020.
