Matthias Brönner has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Matthias currently holds the position of Director and Team Leader for Robotics & AI Features at the KION Group since May 2023. Matthias is responsible for managing and leading a team in developing robotics and AI features.

Prior to their current role, Matthias worked at the KION Group and Linde Material Handling as a Project Management Office (PMO) in the Central Technology Organization, reporting to the KION Group CTO. Matthias started this role in June 2021 and is expected to continue until June 2023.

From 2017 to 2021, Matthias worked as a Research Associate and Project Manager at the FTM Institute of Automotive Technology TUM. Matthias managed an electric vehicle development project and provided advice and support to startups and students.

Matthias also gained experience at MAN Truck & Bus Deutschland GmbH as a Masterand Pre-series Planning Bus and at KARL MAYER as a Lean Production Working Student in 2016.

Furthermore, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Institut für Produktionsmanagement, Technologie und Werkzeugmaschinen - PTW from 2015 to 2016, where they focused on the digitization of production and examined the risks and opportunities of traceable production.

In 2014, Matthias interned as a Lean Sigma at WIKA Gruppe, where they introduced lean standard workflows and supported the implementation of shopfloor management systems.

Lastly, in 2013, Matthias gained experience as an Engineering Working Student at Günther Maschinenbau GmbH.

Matthias Brönner completed their education at various prestigious institutions. Matthias obtained a Bachelor of Science in Maschinenbau from Technische Universität Darmstadt in 2014, followed by a Master of Science in Maschinenbau from the same university in 2017. Matthias then pursued a Promotion degree in Fahrzeugtechnik from the Technical University of Munich, which began in 2017 and is expected to be completed in 2021. In addition to their academic degrees, Matthias earned several certifications in areas such as business administration, data science, project management, and quality management from institutions like edX, Technische Universität München, and CERT iQ Zertifizierungsdienstleistungen GmbH. Matthias was also a recipient of the e-fellows Stipendiat in 2017.
