Jocelyn Emmerson

Inpatient Adult Mental Health And Addiction Care Volunteer at Kingston General Hospital Inc.

Jocelyn Emmerson is a dedicated and active member of the Queen's University community, currently serving as a Peer Health Educator with the Sexual Health Team under Student Wellness Services. Jocelyn's leadership skills are evident as Co-President of Queen's Miracle Babies, fostering support and awareness for the Kingston General Hospital NICU, while also coordinating community outreach efforts. With a focus on mental health advocacy, Jocelyn holds the position of Intersectionality Officer for Step Above Stigma and volunteers in the mental health unit at Kingston Health Sciences Centre. Additionally, Jocelyn contributes as a volunteer tutor for high school students, a mentor for first-year university students, and previously worked with the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute on clinical research in obstetrics and maternal newborn health. Educationally, Jocelyn is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences at Queen's University, following an Ontario Secondary School Diploma from Ashbury College.
