Christie Marchese

Christie Marchese has a long and varied career in the film and social action industries. Christie started in 2005 as a Tutor for the International Rescue Committee's Refugee Student Program. Christie then moved on to Fundraising and Events for Human Rights Watch in 2007, and Program Manager for Declare Yourself in the same year. In 2009, they became Social Media for The Workshop, and Digital Strategy Manager for Social Action for Participant Media. In 2011, they took on the role of Director - New Media, Marketing and Social Action for Righteous Pictures. In 2012, they founded and became CEO of Picture Motion, a leading marketing and advocacy firm for issue driven films. Most recently, in 2020, they founded and became CEO of Kinema, a company that helps anyone curate and show films online or in person.

Christie Marchese attended San Diego State University from 2002 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Security and Conflict Resolution. In 2005, they also attended Birkbeck, University of London, but did not receive a degree.
