Melanie Corbin

Corporate Travel Program Lead at Kinaxis

Melanie Corbin has a diverse work experience in the hospitality and travel industry. Melanie began their career in 2007 as a Sales Coordinator at Albert at Bay Suite Hotel and Best Western Victoria Park Suites, where they prepared proposals and contracts and managed phone calls. Melanie then worked as a Sales Representative at Hampton Inn and Conference Centre, where they met with clients and prepared event orders.

In 2012, Melanie joined Algonquin College as a Sales Manager for SODEXO Residence Services, where they generated sales and marketed the facility to meet budgetary goals. Melanie also cold called the local market and generated leads.

Melanie then moved on to The National Hotel and Suites Ottawa-Westmont Hospitality Group as a Senior Sales Manager before joining Westmont Hospitality Group as a Regional Account Director in 2013.

From 2013 to 2021, Melanie worked at Atlific Hotels in various roles, including Cluster Sales Manager and Area Sales Manager. In these positions, they focused on selling to corporate, government, embassy, and university markets, maintained relationships, negotiated rates, and reported sales figures.

Most recently, Melanie worked at Corporate Traveller Canada as an Account Executive, where they managed accounts and built relationships in the corporate travel industry.

In 2023, Melanie joined Kinaxis as the Corporate Travel Program Lead.

Melanie Corbin studied Hotel and Restaurant Management at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology from 1998 to 2000. In 2003, they pursued a program in Event Planning at the same institution. Currently, Melanie is pursuing a degree in Project Management at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology.
