Stephen Cole is a seasoned computer vision engineer currently serving as the Lead Computer Vision Engineer at KinaTrax since May 2023. Prior to this role, Stephen held the position of Senior Computer Vision Engineer at Verizon, where notable contributions included the integration of Mediapipe models and the development of synthetic training data using Unreal Engine 4. Stephen’s extensive experience also encompasses leadership roles at Stats Perform, where guidance was provided to an Agile team specializing in person detection and re-identification models. Earlier experience includes significant roles in data science at Allstate, focusing on damage identification models and 3D simulation suites. Stephen holds a PhD in High Energy Physics from Northern Illinois University and has a solid foundation in physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
