David Jordan is an experienced Executive Planner at Kildare County Council, serving since March 2017 and overseeing significant projects such as the Draft Maynooth and Environs Joint Local Area Plan 2025-2031 and the award-winning Athy Local Area Plan 2021-2027. Previously, David worked as a Chartered Town Planner and Urban Designer, co-initiating the 21st Century Liffey project and managing various multi-disciplinary projects. David has also held positions as a Project Manager at Dublin City Council, contributing to the Your City, Your Space public realm strategy, and as a Graduate Planner at the Heritage Council of Ireland, assisting with planning matters. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Urban Design from The University of Edinburgh and a Master of Regional and Urban Planning from University College Dublin, supplemented by a Diploma in Local Government Studies from the Institute of Public Administration.
