Gerard McDaid is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in design and management roles within the construction industry. Currently serving as a Senior Design Manager at Kier Group for the Golden Jubilee National Hospital Phase 2 project, McDaid has previously held key positions, including Senior MEP Manager at Robertson Construction, where successful delivery of the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre took place, and Design Manager at Laing O'Rourke for the Dumfries and Galloway Hospital project, a significant £220 million PFI initiative for the NHS. Earlier career experiences include roles as a Mechanical Engineer on the Channel Tunnel project and at RAF Mount Pleasant in the Falkland Islands, along with involvement in MEP services design for a dry dock renovation. McDaid holds an MSc in Offshore Oil and Gas Engineering from Robert Gordon University and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
