Nils Sonnenberg is an experienced economist currently contributing to the Institut für Weltwirtschaft in Kiel, focusing on inflation forecasts and monetary policy assessment since December 2021. Nils is also a PhD candidate at Leipzig University, engaging in research related to monetary policy implementation and its distributional effects, alongside comparative institutional analysis. Previous roles include a student research assistant at the University of Münster and various positions at audibene GmbH in sales operations and business development. Nils has also gained experience in mergers and acquisitions as an analyst with Translink Corporate Finance. Educational achievements include a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Münster and several fellowships from George Mason University, complemented by an exchange semester at the Universidad del País Vasco.
