Miguel Salazar has a strong work background in the field of animals and children's education. Miguel began their career at Mobile Vet in 1995 as a Veterinary Technician and Nutrition Consultant. During their 23-year tenure, they served as the Lead Tech and traveled throughout the Greater LA area, San Fernando, and San Gabriel Valley to provide veterinary care at clients' homes or places of business. In 2018, Miguel transitioned to Kidspace Children's Museum where they held two roles. From July 2018 to September 2021, they served as the Animal Programs Coordinator, overseeing the health and husbandry of the museum's live collection and managing the Animal Programs budget. In September 2021, they were promoted to the position of Living Collections Lead.
Miguel Salazar completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Animal Science and Veterinary/Animal Health from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, where they studied from 1992 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, Miguel obtained certifications in Interpretation Basics from CypherWorx, with Module 2 completed in March 2023, and Module 1 completed in July 2022.
