Sherry Yang has a diverse work experience. Currently, they are working as the Director of Events at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) since 2023. Prior to this, they held various roles at Math for America from 2015 to 2023, including Associate Director of Project Management and Events, Manager of Events & Programming, Professional Development Coordinator, and Program Assistant. Sherry also worked as a Design Gallery Assistant at Ruth Davis Design Gallery from 2014 to 2015.
Sherry Yang obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they studied from 2010 to 2015. Sherry then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Nonprofit Management at Columbia University from 2019 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, Sherry has obtained several certifications, including "Bystander Training: From Bystander to Upstander," "Preventing Harassment in the Workplace," and "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences" from LinkedIn. Sherry also has a certification in 3D Studio Art from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed the Graduate Foundations Program - Psychology focus and Integrated Studies in Science, Engineering, and Society at Columbia University.
