Rachel Bennion is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in immigration law and advocacy. Currently serving as Senior Attorney for Family Separation and Special Programs at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) since April 2021, Rachel has a history of impactful roles, including Staff Attorney for the Pro Bono Program at Catholic Charities Immigration Legal Services and Immigration Law Fellow at Catholic Charities Refugee and Immigrant Services. Rachel's legal expertise was further honed through positions such as Immigration Law Clerk at Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto and Legal Intern at the National Immigration Law Center. Educationally, Rachel holds a Juris Doctor from J. Reuben Clark Law School, a Master of Public Administration from Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Brigham Young University.
