Tony Elder has a diverse work experience in the field of security and law enforcement. Tony started their career as a Police Officer in the Suffolk Police Department in 1985. Tony then joined the Virginia Beach Police Department as a Police Lieutenant in 1986 and served there until 2007. Following that, Tony served as a Deputy Chief in the City of Charleston Police Department from 2007 to 2016. Currently, Tony holds the position of Director of Operations at the Kiawah Island Community Association, where they lead a team to provide exceptional service and support to the association's membership and partners.
