Mahiru Fernando is an experienced professional in the travel and tourism industry, currently serving as the General Manager at Khiri Travel since August 2016, where responsibilities have included roles as Assistant General Manager and Sales Manager. Prior to this, Mahiru worked as a Travel Designer at Diethelm Travel Group, focusing on FIT Europe and online inquiries, after serving as a Customer Service Executive. An internship at Mount Lavinia Hotel provided initial industry exposure. Mahiru holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from the University of Colombo, alongside a Diploma in Travel, Tourism Economics, and Hotel Management from the same institution. Education was completed at S. Thomas' College and furthered through The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
