Hisham Hamdan serves as the Chief Investment Officer and Executive Director at Khazanah Nasional Berhad since April 2011, overseeing investments in public markets, research, and strategy, as well as agrifood initiatives. In addition to this role, Hisham is the Chairman of the Board at UEM Sunrise Berhad since July 2023 and a founding Board Trustee of the Khazanah Research Institute. Previous leadership positions include Chairman of the Board at UDA Holdings Berhad and I2m Ventures Sdn Bhd, as well as board memberships at Iskandar Investment Berhad and Agrifood Group. Hisham's extensive experience in the investment sector is complemented by a notable tenure at Sime Darby, where Hisham held various executive roles, including EVP in Energy & Utilities and Managing Director of Healthcare. Educational credentials include advanced management training from Harvard Business School and degrees in Chemical Engineering and Industrial Management from Purdue University.
