Kristin Matthews has extensive experience in the mental health and clinical field. Kristin began their career as a Social Work Intern at Saint Francis House in 1997 before moving on to become a Social Work Intern and Case Manager at Codman Square Health Center. In 1999, they became an Inpatient Social Worker at Arbour-HRI Hospital, where they provided therapy to adults with mental health issues.
In 2001, Kristin worked as a Human Resources Representative at EMC, where they collaborated with HRBP on employee relations and health/wellness matters. Kristin then transitioned to North Shore Medical Center as a Clinical Case Manager, working with children in an acute psychiatric facility.
From 2005 to 2007, Kristin served as a Clinical Coordinator at the Robert F. Kennedy Children's Action Corps, overseeing clinical services for adolescent girls in a secure treatment facility. Kristin then joined KGA as a Senior EAP Consultant, providing counseling and support to employees, as well as critical incident response to client companies. Kristin eventually became the Manager of Clinical Services at KGA, leading a team of EAP Counselors and Worklife Specialists.
In 2018, Kristin was promoted to Vice President, Clinical and Worklife Services at KGA, where their responsibilities included managing the daily operations and clinical activities of the EAP team. In 2020, they assumed the role of Chief Clinical Officer at KGA, further solidifying their leadership role within the organization.
Kristin Matthews obtained an Advanced Certificate in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy from the Boston University School of Social Work in 2002-2003. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Social Work degree from the same institution, specializing in Clinical Practice with Individuals, Families & Groups from 1997-1999. Kristin completed their undergraduate studies at Bowdoin College from 1993-1997, receiving an AB degree in Psychology & Women's Studies.
