Valentin Schmidt began their work experience in 2000 as an intern at the German Federal Ministry of Finance. Valentin then worked as a trainee at the Deutsche Bundesbank in 2001. From 2002 to 2005, Valentin served as a business analyst in the Financial Advisory Services department at Deloitte. In 2005, they joined the German Federal Ministry of Finance again, this time as a securities supervisor. Valentin was promoted to senior securities supervisor in 2009 and held this role until 2013.
