Tanja Timmer has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Tanja began their career as a Consultant at the German Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in 2005. Tanja then worked at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization as part of the Investment Promotion Office for a few months in 2006. In 2007, they joined the Inter-American Development Bank where they focused on Structured & Trade Finance. That same year, they also started working at KfW IPEX-Bank as a Trainee and eventually moved up to various roles in Structured & Project Finance from 2009 to 2021. At KfW IPEX-Bank, Tanja played a key role in providing tailored financing solutions for the German and European export industry.
Tanja Timmer began their education at Simon Fraser University in 2002, where they studied Economics for a year. Tanja then moved on to Universität Passau and pursued a degree in International Business Administration, which they completed in 2005. In 2005, they also enrolled at The Johns Hopkins University, where they completed a Master's degree in Economics & Energy Studies in 2007.
