Nathan Payne is a seasoned journalism professional with extensive experience in editorial roles. Currently serving as Regional Editor at KFF Health News since May 2022, Nathan previously held similar positions at CNHI and the Traverse City Record-Eagle, where Nathan also worked as Executive Editor and Features Editor. Nathan's expertise was further enhanced through a fellowship at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard from August 2018 to January 2020. Earlier in their career, Nathan served as City Editor at The Gillette News Record. Nathan earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Central Michigan University between 2001 and 2005.
