Paul Mooney is an experienced attorney specializing in tribal law with a current position as Assistant Tribal Attorney for the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community since July 2023. Previously, Paul served as an Associate at Dykema and as Associate General Counsel for the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan. Paul has a strong background in legal compliance for tribal gaming and has held multiple roles that involved drafting legal documents, analyzing regulations, and providing in-house counsel. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor with an Indigenous Law Certificate from Michigan State University College of Law, as well as dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Public Administration and Public Policy and Economics from Michigan State University.
