Sam Thomasson is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as Engineering Manager and previously as Outbye Superintendent at Kestrel Coal Resources since August 2018. Prior experience includes various roles at Rio Tinto from February 2010 to August 2018, such as Outbye Superintendent, Underground Infrastructure Superintendent, Longwall Overhaul Engineer, Asset Handover Lead, Reliability Engineer, and Graduate Mechanical Engineer. Sam Thomasson holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) with an Extended Major in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Queensland (2006-2009) and a Master's degree in Project Management from the University of South Australia (2012-2016).
