Lynn Hampton, Ph.D., has a diverse work experience in various educational institutions and organizations. Lynn started in 2002 as a Research Consultant for City Year National Headquarters and stayed until 2005. In 2004, they became an Assistant Professor at Middle Tennessee State University, where they taught both undergraduate and graduate courses and was involved in various university and department initiatives until 2012. In 2016, they joined Texas Christian University as an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in the John V. Roach Honors College. Lynn served in this role until 2023. Currently, they are the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Kenyon College, a position they started in January 2023.
Lynn Hampton, Ph.D. obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Government from Wellesley College in 1992. They later earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Sociology from Vanderbilt University. Lynn Hampton also holds additional certifications in Transformative Mediation Training from The Dayton Mediation Center (anticipated completion in 2024), Fostering a Culture of Belonging from the Association of College and University Educators (anticipated completion in 2023), and College Student WellBeing Trauma & Resilience from Florida State University (anticipated completion in 2023).
