Sara Rastoder is an Immigration Attorney at Kentucky Refugee Ministries, Inc. since August 2023, bringing extensive experience in legal research and advocacy, particularly in human rights and immigration law. Previously served as a Research Assistant at the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, focusing on international criminal law and transitional justice. Legal externships at the Center for Justice and Accountability, Kentucky Refugee Ministries, and the United Nations International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals involved significant contributions to cases of torture, war crimes, and humanitarian resettlement efforts. Additional experience includes legal research for the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights and the ACLU of Kentucky, alongside earlier roles in customer service and academic support. Sara earned a Doctor of Law degree from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Arabic & Islamic Studies from the University of Kentucky.
