Chris VanderVelde has a diverse range of work experience spanning several industries. Chris currently serves as the VP of Information Systems & Technology at Kent Quality Foods, where they oversee all aspects of corporate IT and guides the IT team in modernizing and improving the company's use of technology. Prior to this, Chris worked at Shape Corp as a Technical Support Manager, Systems Architect, and Systems Administrator, where they managed IT projects, administered network services, and established network monitoring. Chris also has experience as a Systems Administrator at Hines Corporation, providing technical support for sister companies and leveraging technology for operational improvements. In addition, Chris has held various managerial roles at McDonald's Corporation, where they were responsible for restaurant operations, team management, and implementing computer systems for inventory management and reporting. Chris also has experience as a Parts Department Manager at US Golf Cars. Overall, Chris has a strong background in IT leadership and management.

Chris VanderVelde obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from Muskegon Community College between 1992 and 1998. Chris then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from Ferris State University, completing it between 1998 and 2000. Chris also earned several certifications, including Nortel Certified Support Specialist - Ethernet Routing Switch 8600 from Nortel Networks in 2006, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) from Cisco in August 2003, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE 2000) and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) from Microsoft in 2002.
