Jordan Bird has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Quality Assurance Technician at Kent Imaging in March 2020, where they transitioned to become a Clinical Research & Product Specialist in June 2020 until March 2023. They then took on the role of an R&D Consultant, which they currently hold.
In parallel, Jordan also worked as a Teaching Assistant at The University of British Columbia from September 2021 to May 2023, and as an Accelerate Intern at Mitacs from September 2021 to March 2023.
Before this, Jordan gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant at Mount Royal University from May 2018 to August 2021. Their work involved integrative physiology research, specifically focusing on respiratory and renal systems. They accomplished various tasks, including publishing 10 papers, collecting, analyzing, and presenting data for 5+ studies, and collaborating with 10+ universities locally and internationally. They also participated in two international research expeditions on high altitude physiology.
Jordan Bird completed a Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Physics at Mount Royal University from 2015 to 2019. Following this, Jordan pursued a Master of Science degree in Cardiopulmonary Laboratory for Experimental and Applied Physiology at The University of British Columbia between 2021 and 2023. In March 2022, Jordan obtained a certification in Diaphragm Ultrasound: Physiology and Technique from The Michener Institute of Education at UHN.
