Jose Ontiveros has extensive experience in law enforcement and civil process management. Currently serving as a Special Deputy Sheriff in the Civil Division at the Kent County Sheriff's Office since July 2017, Ontiveros also holds a position on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Court Officers Deputy Sheriffs Association since April 2013. Additionally, Ontiveros is the Owner and Michigan Court Officer at JACO Civil Process, which specializes in judgment enforcement and property seizure, a role held since April 1996. Ontiveros began law enforcement career as a Corporal with the Grant Police Department from April 1994 to May 2010. Educationally, Ontiveros earned an Associate of Arts degree in Law Enforcement from Grand Rapids Community College between 1990 and 1992.
