Woo Kang began their work experience in 2015 as a Research Analyst at Techna Institute, where they assisted in implementing a cloud-based storage system for patient data and trained physicians on using new software. In 2015, they also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo, designing experiments to maximize the physical properties of composite materials.
In 2016, Woo Kang worked as a Research and Development Engineer at ExVivo Labs Inc., where they developed 3D in-paper microfluidic structures and designed experiments to test the performance of prototypes.
In 2017, they joined Apotex Inc. as a Production Support Engineer. They performed installation and operation qualifications for new equipment, updated existing standard operating procedures, and created supporting manuals and educational presentations for manufacturing equipment and lines.
Most recently, Woo Kang has been working at Kenota Health as a Quality Lead since 2018. In this role, they designed and implemented a flexible and ISO 13485:2016 compliant Quality Management System for the medical device start-up.
From 2013 to 2018, Woo Kang attended the University of Waterloo where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree with a specialization in Chemical Engineering. Specifically, they focused on the field of study in Materials and Manufacturing Process.
