Steven Dawson has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Steven currently serves as a Commissioner and School Administrator at NACCAS - National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences since 2021. Previously, they worked at Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology Corporate as a Director of Compliance from 2003. In 2013, they became a Methods of Teaching Instructor at This Works!, where they collaborated with the owner and another Educator to educate licensed professionals for the National Licensing Examination. From 2012, they worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Association for Cosmetology Excellence (A.C.E). Prior to that, they taught as a Teacher at Lexington County School District One from 2001 to 2003.

Steven Dawson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Mathematics from the University of South Carolina Aiken, which they obtained from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, they earned a High School Diploma from Gilbert High School from 1993 to 1997. Additionally, Steven has obtained several certifications, including Trailblazer Master Educator and Advanced Master Educator from Milady, as well as a Notary Public certification from the South Carolina Secretary of State. Steven also holds a Master Educator certification from Milady.
