Ingrid Yan has a diverse work experience in the fashion industry. Ingrid is currently serving as the Director of Design Services at Kenneth Cole Productions. Prior to this, they founded their own consulting firm, Ingrid Yan Consulting, where they worked as a Creative Consultant. Ingrid also worked at Tommy Hilfiger as a Senior Color and Concept Manager for their underwear division. Ingrid gained experience as a Trend Editor and Consultant at MintModa. Ingrid also held various roles at Kenneth Cole Productions, including Senior Concept and Trend Designer, Concept Designer, and Design Services Assistant. Ingrid worked as a Freelance Design Associate at Onassis Clothing LLC and as a Freelance Assistant Designer and Fabric Assistant at Polo Ralph Lauren. In addition, they worked as a Freelance Assistant Designer at Madewell. Ingrid started their career as a Concept Design Assistant at Martin + Osa and worked as a Visual Merchandiser at Muléh.
Ingrid Yan attended the Academy of the Holy Cross for an unspecified period without earning any degree. Ingrid then pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Saint Mary's College from 1995 to 1999, with a major in Studio Art and a minor in Business Administration. In 2005, they briefly attended the Corcoran School of Art & Design, focusing on Digital Art. In 2007-2008, they enrolled at Parsons School of Design, where they studied Fashion Design.
