Kathryn Higgins, LSW has a diverse work experience spanning various fields and industries. Kathryn recently joined Rush Copley Medical Center as a Care Manager in December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Mental Health and Substance Use Clinician at Kendall County Health Department starting in November 2020.

From 2018 to 2020, Kathryn held multiple roles at Hesed House, including Lighthouse Case Manager and SEEDS Intern. Kathryn also gained valuable experience as a Social Work Intern (Inpatient Medicine) at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center from September 2019 to April 2020.

Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Social Work at Aurora University from 2015 to 2019. In addition to their academic qualifications, Kathryn has obtained various certifications, including being a Mandated Reporter certified by the Department of Children and Family Services in September 2020, completing the Opioid Overdose Prevention and Naloxone program offered by the IDHS Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery Drug Overdose Prevention Program in September 2020, becoming a licensed Social Worker by the IDFR in October 2020, and obtaining CPR/AED/First Aid certification from the American Red Cross in September 2020.
