Cynthia Umphrey started their work experience in 1997 as a Lawyer, Director, and Shareholder at Kemp Klein Law Firm specializing in estate planning, post death, and business and exit planning. Cynthia is passionate about resolving problems for companies and individuals. In 2007, they became a Co-Owner of The Learning Experience Academy of Early Education, a franchise that focuses on providing socially positive child care with an emphasis on learning and growth. As a franchisee, Cynthia gained insight into the lives of their clients as business owners, which they use to guide their work as a lawyer.

Cynthia Umphrey completed their education at the University of Michigan Law School from 1995 to 1998, earning a Juris Doctor degree with honors. Prior to that, they attended Oakland University from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Latin American Language and Civilization.
