Rasmus Pinomaa

Director, Corporate Sustainability at Kemira

Rasmus Pinomaa has a diverse and extensive work experience. Rasmus is currently the Director of Corporate Sustainability at Kemira since March 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Advisor in the sustainability team for the chemical industry in Finland at Kemianteollisuus ry, The Chemical Industry Federation of Finland. In this role, they were responsible for climate and energy related subjects, as well as coordinating environment and safety sector groups and working groups. Rasmus also worked as an Innovation Project Manager and Associate Project Manager at Perstorp Group, where they managed innovation projects and development projects for specialty materials. Additionally, they had roles as an Advisor at FIPIF (Finnish Plastics Industries Federation), a Customer Relations Developer at Rustholli Remontit Oy, and a Production Worker and Project Coordinator at ParoPrint Oy, where they also ran a small entrepreneurship project. Rasmus started their career as a Security Guard at Turvatiimi Oyj and served in the Finnish Defence Forces as a Staff Sergeant, focusing on coastal jaeger special training and reconnaissance.

Rasmus Pinomaa obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Polymer Technology from Arcada University of Applied Sciences from 2007 to 2011. Rasmus also pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Machinenbau from Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences from 2009 to 2010. In addition to their degree programs, Rasmus obtained a Construction Drawer certification from Rakennustekniikan opisto in CAD Drawing from 2004 to 2005. Prior to their university education, Rasmus completed their Matriculation examination at Gymnasiet Lärkan from 2001 to 2004. Outside of their formal education, Rasmus also holds additional certifications, including becoming a Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in September 2017 and obtaining the qualification of Yrityksen energiakatselmuksen vastuuhenkilön pätevyys from Energiavirasto (Energy Authority) in 2018.
