Chris Smith, CGCIO, currently serves as a Senior Engineer at Kelly Office Solutions since May 2021. Previously, Chris held the role of Systems Administrator for the City of Lexington, NC from August 2012 to May 2021, overseeing complex technology infrastructures and managing a $900k annual budget for over 330 city employees. Chris served in the United States Marine Corps from 1996 to 2012, initially as a Data Network Specialist and later as Data Chief, focusing on data communications systems and network integration. Chris holds a Master of Business Administration in Information Technology Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Project Management from Capella University, along with a Certified Government Chief Information Officer designation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
