Spike Figgett has a strong background in publishing, particularly in the field of puzzles. Spike has been the Head of UK Publishing for Keesing Media Group BV since September 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Puzzle Publishing Consultant for The Puzzle Publishing Consultancy starting in August 2019. From June 2017 to June 2019, Spike was the Managing Director of the Puzzles Portfolio and Content Hub at H Bauer Publishing. Spike also has a long history with H Bauer Publishing, starting in 1992. During their time there, they held various roles including Publishing Director from June 2005 to June 2017, Publisher from May 1997 to June 2005, Product Manager from March 1995 to May 1997, Group Puzzles Editor from April 1993 to March 1995, and Chief Sub Editor from March 1992 to March 1993.

Spike Figgett obtained their Bachelor's degree in History from Aberystwyth University between the years 1980 and 1984.
