Loïc Gasser has held a variety of roles in the software engineering industry. In 2021, they began their current role as Director of Engineering and Senior Software Engineer Team Lead at Keen Decision Systems. Prior to this, they were Chief Technology Officer at Zuudoo from 2018-2021, and also worked as a Freelance Developer from 2018-2021. From 2011-2013, they worked as a Web GIS Software Engineer and Web GIS Software Engineer Intern at Bundesamt für Landestopografie swisstopo. From 2013-2018, they were Co-Founder and Software Engineer at Citiviz. From 2012-2013, they held the role of Project Manager and Software Engineer at the University of Strathclyde. Loïc also worked as a Student Assistant at EPFL from 2009-2010, and as a Remote Sensing Analyst Intern at United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) from 2010-2011.
Loïc Gasser obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Environment, Geoinformatics from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) between 2006 and 2011. In 2009, they received a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology. In 2005, they were awarded an Advanced Certificate of English (Cambridge) from Eurocenter. Between 2002 and 2004, they completed a Maturitè fédérale in Biology and Chemistry from Gymnase de la Cité Lausanne. In 2018, they obtained an Introduction to C++ programming certification from Coursera. In 2022, they earned an Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
