Ignacio Herrera has had a diverse range of work experience in the field of real estate development and construction. Ignacio started their career at Universal Ensco, where they completed a summer internship working on the Alliance Pipeline project. Ignacio was responsible for reconciling pipe delivery reports, managing project outlook, and coordinating pipe unloading for a large pipeline project.

Ignacio then moved on to Baker Concrete Construction, where they also completed a summer internship. Here, they served as a field engineer for the construction of an NFL Stadium in Houston. Ignacio was responsible for construction layout, column construction management, and quality control. Ignacio demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and exceptional communication skills in English and Spanish.

After their internships, Ignacio joined Halff Associates as a Project Manager for Land Development. In this role, they managed projects for a civil engineering consulting firm, leading design teams and collaborating with various sub-consultants and engineering disciplines. Ignacio also focused on business development, client relationship management, and marketing efforts.

Currently, Ignacio is Vice President - Design & Construction at KDC Real Estate Development & Investments. Prior to this role, they held positions as a Senior Project Manager - Design & Construction and a CM Project Manager within the same company. During their time at KDC, Ignacio successfully managed real estate development projects, including the notable Epic II in Dallas, Texas. Ignacio has had significant involvement in the design, construction, and project management aspects of these developments.

Ignacio Herrera's education history begins with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering, which they obtained from Texas A&M University from 1995 to 2000. Ignacio then pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Hydrology and Water Resources Science at CEDEX in Madrid, Spain in 2004. Ignacio continued their education at Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business from 2011 to 2013, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance.

In addition to their degrees, Ignacio has obtained certifications to further enhance their professional qualifications. Ignacio became a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) in April 2015 through the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). Ignacio also earned the certification of Professional Engineer in December 2006 from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
