Paul Westhead has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Paul began their career as a Medical Doctor at NHS and later worked as a General Practitioner. Paul also served as an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Health Education North West. Paul took on leadership roles, including being an HENW Medical Leadership Fellow and pursuing an MSc in Healthcare Leadership at NHS Leadership Academy. Paul has held multiple positions at MAC Clinical Research, including Medical Director and Pharmaceutical Physician. Paul has also served as a GMC Associate, periodically acting as a chair of the registration panel. Overall, Paul has a strong background in medicine, leadership, and research.

Paul Westhead obtained their Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in Medicine from the University of Liverpool between 2001 and 2006. Paul later pursued a Master of Science degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at the University of Birmingham from 2016 to 2018.
