Sol Courtney is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as Associate Director of Engineering at KBRA since December 2019, with a progression through titles including Senior Software Engineering Manager and Senior Staff Data Engineer. In addition, Sol has been a volunteer Technology Consultant for The Papillon Foundation since January 2022. Prior experience includes working as a Python Developer at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where Sol contributed to trade capture systems within the Quartz environment, and as a Research Data Scientist at Columbia University, focusing on tools and algorithms for space telescope mission planning. Sol also has a background as a Scientific Python Engineer for NASA's WFIRST project, developing user interfaces and analysis pipelines. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Astrophysics from Columbia University and an Associate of Arts in Chemistry from Orange Coast College.
