Alan Chien is a seasoned image scientist with extensive experience in radar image science and image processing. Currently serving as the Senior Principal Image Scientist at KBR, Inc. since June 2016, Alan leads radar image science initiatives for major SETA contracts, focusing on defining CONOPS and integrating SAR systems. Prior to this role, Alan worked at The Boeing Company for over a decade, specializing in image formation and quality analysis to support military operations. Additional experience includes positions at JWK International Corporation, Eastman Kodak Company, and GE Aerospace, where expertise in SAR analysis, image compression standards, and systems engineering was developed. Alan holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
