Edward Eijlers has extensive work experience in the banking and finance industry. Edward started their career at Ministerie van Defensie as a Second Lieutenant from 1992 to 1994. Edward then worked at Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken as Head of Financial Control from 1994 to 1996.
Since 1996, Edward has been with KBC Bank & Verzekering, where they held various leadership roles. Edward started as an International Management Trainee and later became a Relationship Manager for the USA (NY + LA) from 1998 to 2004. From 2004 to 2007, they served as the Vice President of Leveraged Finance in Frankfurt am Main. Edward then moved to New York as the Head of Leveraged Finance from 2007 to 2009.
From 2009 to 2017, Edward served as the Credit Restructuring Manager for Benelux. Edward was responsible for managing credit risks and restructuring strategies. Between 2017 and 2022, they held the position of Head of Credit Risk for Germany & UK.
Currently, Edward is serving as the Head of Credit Risk for Western Europe at KBC Bank & Verzekering, a role they have held since January 2022.
Edward Eijlers completed their middle school and high school education at Lodewijk Makeblijde College from 1980 to 1986. Edward then pursued their Master's Degree in Business/Managerial Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam from 1986 to 1992.
